GFG is in the manufacturing of fibre glass & ceramic fibre products used for several applications in various industries. in non-technical terms, GFG provides cost-effective & energy-efficient solutions (thermal insulation) for heat and fire protection industry, steel manufacturing units, original equipment manufacturing units, cement plants, thermal power generation units, earth moving equipment manufacturers, glass industry, industrial and laboratory furnace construction as well as metal processing industry.

presently GFG product line caters to the following applications within the scope of thermal insulation: furnace curtains; gasket & wrapping material; welding curtains and blankets; pipe hanger insulation; fuel line insulation; exhaust hoods and blankets; and wrapping for general equipment protection.

GFG was established in 1988 as a manifestation of an innovative concept of manufacturing heat insulating products from waste. the 23 year journey has not been an easy one. tough governmental regulations and the lack of resources (skilled labor, access to technology, etc) have been an integral part of the continuous struggle to overcome bottlenecks. however, patience and passion of entrepreneur and founder late mr. s.k. kanoria paid off when the indian economy opened up in the late 1990s. thus, marking the winning streak for GFG.

mr. s.k. kanoria’s vision and foresight saved GFG from redundancy when the government announced and implemented the ban of asbestos as a raw material for the products that GFG was manufacturing. GFG dawned its innovation thinking cap and diversified into manufacturing heat insulating products using fibre glass. this change was a result of the enterprising mr. gautam kanoria who was brought into the organization to herald the wind of change.

mr. gautam, since joining the organization has not only extended the product line, but also introduced ceramic based products. in his decade long association with GFG he has built strategic relationship in the industry and brought about an average cagr of 24% for GFG.

GFG is spearheaded by young and dynamic entrepreneur – gautam kanoria. he has been with the business since 2001 and has grown with the organization, serving varying roles and functions like customer service, marketing & sales, operations and production.

mr. gautam has a degree in computer applications from university of bridgeport, usa. he belongs to a family of businessmen, which proves his keen business acumen and the success story that trails his decade long career. he is also a member of several trade associations and professional groups that make him an active member of the Indian business fraternity. presently he is the managing director at GFG with a clear vision of making a mark in the global market.
